Units of Study

ChefLab's new Geography curriculum will focus on both physical as well as cultural geography. Beginning with land and water forms, we will introduce our seven continents and study famous flags and landmarks. Next, we will focus on cultures and communities from around the globe.  Our topics and materials were inspired by the lower elementary Montessori black-line masters. Before entering the kitchen-lab, children are presented with custom made Montessori-style materials designed to pique their curiosity and invite independant activity. Once mastered, ChefLab’ers remove their lab coats, don their chef-hats, and experiment with edible ingredients to creatively apply what they’ve learned – ChefLab style.
