This month we dive into the animal kingdom which can be classified into two major categories: Vertebrates and Invertebrates. Beginning with the 5 classes of vertebrates and moving onto invertebrates,  we explore species belonging to each class and the characteristics that differentiate them from the others. Once children has a grasp of the great diversity of animals and how we classify them, we examine their internal structures and vital functions; bringing us to our next topic – biology.
