Units of Study

ChefLab's new history curriculum will focus on the concept of time. We will introduce timelines beginning from prehistoric times, to ancient civilizations and the renaissance period, all through modern times. Our topics and materials were inspired by the lower elementary Montessori black-line masters. Before entering the kitchen-lab, children are presented with custom made Montessori-style materials designed to pique their curiosity and invite independant activity. Once mastered, ChefLab’ers remove their lab coats, don their chef-hats, and experiment with edible ingredients to creatively apply what they’ve learned – ChefLab style.
