ChefLab is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Project-Based and Creative Learning Teacher to design and teach a dynamic enrichment program that supports our sensory-based and individualized learning philosophy. As part of our afternoon academy, students participate in daily extracurricular activities that rotate by subject—arts and crafts, science, yoga/movement, and cooking—providing a well-rounded, interconnected educational experience.

The ideal candidate will design lessons tailored to a mixed-aged student body that can be adapted and applied to meet students’ individual needs and interests. The ideal candidate will actively teach project based enrichment extra-curricular subjects, and work as part of a collaborative team to create a cohesive learning environment. This full-time position offers full mornings for program planning, material preparation, and team coordination, with afternoons dedicated to leading enrichment activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Program Design and Planning (Mornings):
• Develop a structured, rotating weekly, enrichment activities with projects tailored to students’ developmental goals and interests (e.g., Monday: Art, Tuesday: Science, etc.).
• Create extra curricular monthly plans that cater to individual student needs while aligning with ChefLab’s sensory-based and project-oriented philosophy.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure enrichment activities are interconnected with our curriculum schedule and core academic goals.
• Prepare and organize materials, tools, and resources for activities to ensure seamless implementation.
• Manage the inventory of materials and coordinate with administrative staff to replenish supplies as needed.

Afternoon Enrichment Facilitation (Teaching):
• Run engaging, hands-on enrichment activities in arts and crafts, science, yoga/movement, and cooking.
• Adapt activities to accommodate age appropriate developmental skills, fostering growth and creativity for each student.
• Encourage teamwork, critical thinking, and exploration in all enrichment subjects.
• Model enthusiasm, flexibility, and a growth mindset, inspiring students to participate fully and confidently.
• Supervise students to ensure a safe and positive environment that supports both individual and group learning.

Collaboration and Teamwork:
• Work collaboratively with lead teachers and support staff to integrate enrichment activities into a cohesive, interconnected learning experience.
• Participate in team meetings to share insights, gather feedback, and refine enrichment programming to meet school-wide goals.
• Support and collaborate with other staff members, creating an inclusive and dynamic team culture that ensures students’ holistic development.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, arts, science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience designing and teaching enrichment or project-based activities.
• Expertise in one or more enrichment areas (e.g., art, science, movement, or cooking) with a willingness to teach across multiple disciplines.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance planning and teaching responsibilities.
• Flexibility and adaptability to adjust plans and approaches based on individual student needs and team collaboration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff.
• A commitment to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment.
